boudoir

bou·doir
/ˈbo͞oˌdwär/
boo-DWAHR

noun

  1. A private bedroom, dressing room, or intimate sitting room.

  2. Photography: An intimate style of portraiture centered on confidence, sensuality, vulnerability, self-expression, and the beauty of being seen as you are.

Origin: French, originally referring to a private room or personal retreat.

Confident. Intimate. Completely your own.

A boudoir session is about giving yourself permission to take up space, to feel beautiful, and to see yourself from a perspective you may not always give yourself the chance to see.

It can be soft. Bold. Playful. Sensual. Powerful. Quiet. Completely unapologetic.

There is no single way you are supposed to look or feel in front of the camera. I’ll guide you when you need it, pay attention to the little details, and leave room for the moments that happen naturally.

The goal is not to turn you into someone else.

It is to photograph you, exactly as you are, beautifully and intentionally.
